Le Manoir is a gorgeous holiday home, ideal for large groups or families. We are based in Canet d'Aude in the Languedoc, South of France close to both Mountains and beaches and within walking distance of the
Canal du Midi.
The Languedoc is the largest wine producing region in France and it's claim to fame is that some of the first vines where planted here.

After a previous stay at Le Manoir, we were determined to return and enjoy this enchanting house that has been beautifully restored by Mel and Jay. The house and gardens envelope you with that sense of well being and comfort that so many us find in the warm south of France. On this visit we were here as part of a bigger group to celebrate a birthday, and to spend a few days toward the end of the season relaxing and working through the arduous task of sampling the wonderful local wines. As before, we went to Le Cafe du Port on the banks of Le Canal du Midi for a most delicious meal, and this time we explored some of the local villages and beautiful drives through some of the foothills of the Pyrenees. Mel and Jay are wonderful hosts and manage Le Manoir very efficiently with great good humour. Thank you for providing us with such a marvellous stay...we shall return!

Had a fabulous time at Le Manoir, so relaxing. Really loved the beautiful big and bright bedrooms and the pool is great for the kids. Stayed for 1 week in mid June 2015. Weather was lovely - it was breezy but the wind was welcome to cool you down. We highly recommend the in-house dining with Tony & Sharon and going out for lunch on the Canal du Midi. (and the wine cellar)

Family get together - what a fantastic place Le Manoir is. Warm welcome from Mel & Jay - needed to be though in such a wonderful house and grounds. The house is superb, lovely restoration. Amazing bedrooms and superb pool and garden. Visited Carcassonne - well worth the boiling heat. What a superb week - average of 30 degrees plus. Will definitely be back.

What a joy to stay at this wonderful manoir! We had a large group of people, big and small, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. There is a sense of history and serenity about this place while being brilliantly situated to enjoy the best site of the Aude and Languedoc in general. Melanie and Jay where wonderful hosts and our dinner party prepared by Sharon and Tony was brilliant. A+!!!

We chose a really super week to visit – the weather was glorious all week. And we co-insided with Bastille Day with fireworks and dancing at the Marie. Fun spectacle on our last evening topped it off and kept our teenagers entertained.

Stayed at Le Manoir 21 -28 June 2014. Thank you for a fabulous week, comfortable, well equipped house in this lovely village and everything on the doorstep, Would need much longer than a week to explore the area, so would love to return. Pool is perfect, both for adults and little ones. Will definitely recommend to friends in the UK.

This is a stylish property which has been superbly refurbished to a high standard by Melanie and Jay. My wife, three children and I stayed for a few days over New Year and had a delightful break. We had a warm welcome and very comfortable accommodation ( especially the luxurious large beds and excellent shower ). Canet is a lovely village with good facilities and we especially enjoyed collecting our fresh croissants every morning from the boulangerie. The Canal du Midi is only a mile away and well worth visiting for the walks and beautiful villages along it's course. Also some good local restaurants to suit reasonable and expensive tastes.

This is a fantastic place for an extended holiday stay. Beautiful surroundings, very comfortable and beautiful home and a very warm welcome, what more could you want? There is everything you would want on holiday; a swimming pool, a large and shady garden, large and comfortable rooms with all mod-cons, a romantic court yard out the front. The locals in the village are very friendly and there is plenty to do and see in the surrounding area. It is easy to get to with flights to Carcassonne. I wish the owners all the best with this venture!

Le Manoir was the perfect setting for an unforgettable week in France. The Beautiful home, gorgeous grounds and relaxing deck made it difficult for us to leave. We’ve had a great time here in Canet! The kids spent a lot of time in the pool and in the garden. They especially liked picking apples and fruit when they pleased. They actually made an apple pie the one day. The adults have enjoyed the spacious property and the tranquility of the village. Thank you for a lovely stay.
